Neurohubs
Our Neurohubs provide a support and information service for neurodivergent children, young people and their families. This support can be accessed in-person, video chat or over the phone.
What is a Neurohub?
Neurohubs are welcoming local spaces for neurodivergent children and young people aged between 0 to 25 and their families.
The service can assist with queries ranging from challenging behaviour, eating/sleeping problems, bullying, difficulties with gender, and many other subjects on the spectrum of neurodivergence and mental health.
Our team will provide support based on the needs of the user, and can signpost where necessary.
How is this support provided?
In the first instance, a member of our team will reach out to find out what specific support you or your child/young person needs. After this, support can continue via any of the following methods:
- In-person meet-ups
- Video chat via Teams/Zoom
- Over the phone
- Emails
Our team aims to be flexible and diverse in how we meet the needs of our service users, as we acknowledge that everyone is different.
What can we help with?
Our team are here to listen and support you through a range of subjects, but here are some examples:
- ASD/ADHD
- Communication
- Challenging behaviour
- Eating
- Education, work or play
- Sensory processing
- Sleeping
- Toileting
While many of the topics above will fall under parenthood and children's services, anyone up to the age of 25 can seek support from our neurohubs service. We can provide information and advice, a listening ear, toolkits, signposting and training.
