Toyota Manufacturing UK Charitable Trust has donated £2000 to Mundy Street, one of Autism East Midlands day service centres, for new sensory equipment.
Last week, our Deputy Director of Adult Services Katie Weightman and Acting Adult Service Manager of Mundy Street Lisa Bradbury attended a celebration event which highlighted several local charities and the impact that they had on their communities.
Autism East Midlands was in attendance and received a donation of £2000 for our Mundy Street day service centre based in Heanor in Derbyshire.
The Mundy Street day service centre runs many activities for service users including arts and crafts, cooking, gardening and community-based activities such as local walks, bowling or swimming.
The donation will be used to purchase new sensory equipment for autistic adults at the centre.
