Celebrating spooky season with pumpkins and scary cupcakes

Spooky season is upon us!

Service users from across the East Midlands have been celebrating the spooktacular occasion by embracing Halloween themes in their regular activities.

At our Leicester hub, which is one of many Family Support Hubs that we run across the region, children were invited to decorate some delicious chocolate cupcakes with coloured icing, edible cobwebs and decorations of ghosts, bats and other spookies.

Meanwhile, our adult services have also been getting into the spirit of Halloween season.

Our Sherwood Centre recently paid a visit to the local pumpkin patch, in a search to find the perfect pumpkins to carve up at the centre, creating their own personal jack-o-lanterns to give neighbours a good scare this Halloween.

It is a joy and a privilege to see smiles on the faces of the people we support as they choose to take part in some of the traditional activities associated with this time of year.

Halloween

Halloween is always a popular time and it is great to see staff and people we support fully embracing the holiday.
