An Act of Kindness: Adam & Matt's Story

Nothing warms our hearts more than an act of kindness, especially when service users feel able to face their fears.

Earlier this week, when many of us were trekking across the snow and ice, Adam and Matthew wanted to go visit a cafe.

Matthew has a fear of slippery surfaces.

"I can do this," he said to himself.

Adam, who doesn't like being touched, reached out to hold Matthew's hand.

"I've got you, mate" he said, taking his hand.

In the end, we made it to the cafe, with Adam and Matthew holding hands on the way, taking things slowly step-by-step.

It is incredible to see the progress both of them have made in their time with us, and our staff were truly moved to see such an act of friendship and support.

Well done to them both!
